Germanwings crash: Mayor of Haltern talks of students

Sixteen students and two teachers from Joseph-Koenig school in the German town of Haltern are believed to be among the victims of the crash.

Bodo Klimpel, the mayor of the town, said the school learnt about the accident through the media.

During a news conference he said some of the parents went to Duesseldorf and some of the parents came to the school.

He said they will be offering counselling to students and relatives.
