Pro-EU and anti-austerity protesters clash in Athens

Anti-austerity protesters have clashed with pro-EU demonstrators in Athens.

The Greek government has put a new set of proposals to its creditors in an attempt to secure new funds, repay debt and stay in the eurozone.

Some left-wing protesters reject austerity measures while other supporters of the EU want to remain in the eurozone in spite of restrictions this may impose on Greece.
