Srebrenica: 'Burying my twin was the most difficult day of my life'

Mourners from around the world are in Bosnia to mark the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

They will remember how Bosnian-Serb forces rounded up and murdered more than 8,000 ethnic Bosniak (Bosnian Muslims) men and boys.

The town of Srebrenica is still deeply marked by the event.

It has only a fifth of its pre-conflict population of 40,000.

But some of those who survived the massacre or lost their families still live in the area and for them the memories of what happened are all too fresh.

Hasan Hasanovic is a survivor of the massacre and the Srebrenica Memorial Centre curator.
