Groening trial: Auschwitz survivor advocates forgiveness

A German court has convicted a 94-year-old former guard at the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz of being an accessory to the murder of at least 300,000 Jews.

During Oskar Groening's trial one of the survivors of Auschwitz, Eva Kor, publicly forgave him and even embraced the former SS guard in court.

She told the BBC's Ian Pannell that she was disappointed that he had been jailed, and that he should have been given a community service order instead.
