Nato to hold meeting after Turkey request

Nato will hold a special meeting of ambassadors under Article 4 of the Washington Treaty following instability in Iraq and Syria, as well as recent terrorist attacks in Turkey.

Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told the BBC that the meeting will take place because it was requested by Turkey.

He said that he welcomed Turkey's contribution in fighting so-called Islamic State militants.
