Human trafficking victim: 'I could not escape'

The first set of changes in the Modern Slavery Act raise the maximum sentence for the most serious offenders from 14 years to life.

Victims will also get extra protection against prosecutions for offences committed as part of their exploitation and get access to civil legal aid.

One victim of human trafficking is "Emma", not her real name, who is in her 20s. She says she was forced into prostitution in Albania and trafficked across Europe. She now lives in a safe house in the UK.

"Emma", whose interview is voiced by an actor, spoke to Sarah Campbell.
