On the ground at Europe's refugee hotspots

EU ministers have approved a controversial plan to relocate 120,000 refugees and migrants across Europe using compulsory quotas.

It was agreed by a majority of countries though many Eastern European nations voted against the move.

500,000 people have sought refuge in Europe so far this year after arriving by sea.
