Fifa President Sepp Blatter facing criminal investigation

A criminal investigation has begun into Fifa President Sepp Blatter, on suspicion of criminal mismanagement and misappropriation.

The Swiss authorities have announced he is also suspected of what they call a "disloyalty payment" of more than £1m to the president of Uefa, Michel Platini. Mr Blatter denies wrongdoing.

The crisis at football's world governing body began in May 2015 when Fifa executives were arrested for money laundering and fraud.

Richard Conway reports from Zurich.
