Migrant numbers not expected to decrease over winter - UN

The United Nations says the number of migrants and refugees arriving in Europe this year has already passed 500,000, more than double the total for 2014.

But now the weather is turning and conditions are worsening for thousands of people still trying to reach Europe.

Unlike last year though, the UN says it does not expect the flow of people to decrease as winter approaches.

Nick Thorpe reports from the Hungary-Croatia border.
