Refugee Syrian girl 'so happy' at Days of Our Lives tribute

A teenage refugee has expressed her delight after a US soap opera filmed a special scene in her honour.

Noujain Mustaffa is a disabled 16-year-old Syrian, who travelled to Europe in her wheelchair.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver asked two characters from Days of Our Lives to record the scene, which aired as part of the HBO show on Sunday.

A character played by James Scott "returned from the dead" to film the segment, after Noujain said she learned English by watching Days of Our Lives.

Noujain said she was "so grateful" and it was "her lucky day".
