Paris attacks: Two dead after police storm apartment

Two people were killed as police carried out a seven-hour raid on a flat suspected of housing the alleged mastermind of Friday's terror attacks in Paris.

A woman blew herself up with a suicide belt and another suspect was shot dead by police during the operation in the suburb of Saint-Denis.

Several arrests were made, but the fate of chief suspect Abdelhamid Abaaoud remains unclear but he was not one of those detained.

A government spokesman said remains of a third body may be under the rubble.
