Migrants begin journey to Europe as sea storms recede

The past year witnessed one of the greatest human migrations of recent times, with more than one million people arriving in Europe by sea.

Almost half of those came across the short stretch of water between Turkey and the Greek island of Lesbos.

While the flow has been slowed by the winter weather, thousands are still attempting the journey, as Fergal Keane reports.
