Russia minister: Rio Olympics ban would be 'no tragedy'

Russia's Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has told the BBC it "wouldn't be a tragedy" if Russian athletes were banned from the Rio Olympics.

He insisted Russia had done everything asked of it by the IAAF, despite the governing body of world athletics saying Russia had not yet met all the conditions for a global ban on its athletes to be lifted.

Russia was suspended from international competitions in November after a report by the World Anti-Doping Agency uncovered state-backed cheating and corruption. A final decision will be taken in May.
