Elie Wiesel: Survivor, writer, Nobel Peace prize winner

The Jewish writer and Holocaust survivor, Elie Wiesel, has died at the age of 87.

He wrote extensively of his imprisonment in Nazi death camps, including Auschwitz, and was awarded the Nobel Peace prize.

US President Barack Obama has described him as one of the great moral voices of our time.
