See inside giant cooling towers

All across Europe, in remote areas you can find tall, concrete towers used for cooling water or condensing steam.

Most of the time you might not give them another thought but what does go on inside these huge structures.

Belgian photographer Reginald Van de Velde gained access to the inner workings of more than 30 cooling towers across Europe. He took World Update's Dan Damon on a tour of these "otherworldly" constructions.
