Cyber security boss tells people 'back up data' to avoid ransoms
The head of the National Cyber Security Centre, Ciaran Martin, says that people need to back up their data and keep their software updated to avoid having their personal devices hacked, and to avoid the kind of attacks where a ransom is demanded to unlock them.
Mr Martin told Radio 4's The World at One that "where there is data, that [data] will be of interest to hackers" and this could affect businesses large and small "including the NHS".
