Ignatieff: Hungary's CEU 'one of country's last free institutions'

The Central European University in Budapest has been targeted by Hungary's Victor Orban, who has campaigned against billionaire philanthropist George Soros, the founder of CEU.

The president of the university, Prof Michael Ignatieff, told the BBC's Newsnight that the Hungarian government had substantial control over media and courts and was frustrated that CEU was still a free institution.
