And Then We Danced: Georgian film that sparked protests

An award-winning Georgian film about a gay love affair has proved controversial in a country where homosexuality is taboo and attacks on LGBT people are common.

Protests in Georgia against the screening of the film, And Then We Danced, recently turned violent.

The film has won awards at the Chicago International Film Festival and the Sarajevo Film Festival and has been screened at Cannes and the London Film Festival.
