Mount Murray hotel evacuated in 'major' Isle of Man fire

One of the largest hotel's in the Isle of Man has been evacuated as fire crews deal with a "major" blaze.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Mount Murray hotel in Santon at about 10:30 GMT.

A spokesman said members of the public were advised to avoid the area "until the incident is brought under control".

One eyewitness described it as an "inferno", which had seen the whole of the hotel's roof engulfed in flames "within minutes".
