Dilma Rousseff: 'Most important mission of my life'
Brazil's new leader - and first female president - Dilma Rousseff has said she will work to ensure the election of a woman becomes a routine event.
Ms Rousseff, 62, who has never before held elected office, made her victory speech saying her election as leader was the most important mission of her life.
Thousands of supporters of the governing Workers' Party took to the streets across Brazil to celebrate her win.
