Raul Castro's reforms allow Cubans to travel abroad

Change continues apace in Cuba - not only can people now set up small businesses and buy their homes, but the communist leader Raul Castro is allowing citizens to travel abroad as tourists to see how Cuba compares to other nations.

The plan to let Cubans leave the country is one of 313 reforms approved at a Congress of the Communist Party held in April, which was held behind closed doors.
