Students protest for education reform in Chile

Thousands of Chilean students took to the streets of the capital Santiago demanding changes to the education system.

Peaceful protests descended into chaos when a small group of protestors broke away, burning cars and looting shops.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to break them up.
