Supporters of Evo Morales rally in Bolivia

Tens of thousands of people have rallied in Bolivia's main city to show their support for President Evo Morales ahead of elections on Sunday.

Currently he has the lowest approval ratings since coming to power six years ago - and the poll results are being seen as a vote of confidence.

There is growing discontent in Bolivia that President Morales has not delivered on his promises, and resentment following police repression last month against protesters who oppose the construction of a highway through an indigenous territory and national park.
