Colombian flowers market to expand towards Asia

Colombia is the second biggest exporter of cut flowers after the Netherlands, but 2011 was a difficult year for its flower growers.

Experts blame not just economic problems in two of its main markets, United States and Europe, but also heavy rains and strong local currency.

Now Colombian producers say it is time to look towards Asia.
