Quito's colonial past gets a makeover
Quito, Ecuador's capital city, has undergone a $250m (£163m) makeover in a bid to attract more tourists who usually just stay a night on their way to the Galapagos Islands.
Named a Unesco World Heritage city in 1978 for its Spanish colonial architecture, Quito's churches and monuments are being lovingly restored, as BBC Fast Track's Rajan Datar discovered on a visit to the capital.
