Brazil clashes ahead of Spain-Italy match in Fortaleza

Police in Brazil have clashed with demonstrators in Fortaleza ahead of a Confederations Cup football match between Spain and Italy.

Thousands had marched towards the Castelao stadium a few hours before the game.

Police responded with tear gas to attacks from a small group of young men who seemed determined to cause trouble, said the BBC's Sarah Rainsford.
