Ancient sea fossils found in Peruvian desert

Peruvian researchers have discovered a trove of ancient sea mammal fossils in the desert.

Among the find is a whale, thought to be around 40 million years old and not previously known to have existed in this part of the world.

Palaeontologists believe the fossils could be an evolutionary link to the animals land-dwelling ancestors.
