Venezuela president urges US to join 'peace commission'
Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has urged the US to discuss "peace and sovereignty" in a high level commission mediated by the Union of South American Nation.
Mr Maduro also asked President Barack Obama not to listen to US factions that allegedly want to kill the Venezuelan leader.
He also warned he could send security forces to remove protesters and barricades in the streets of the capital, Caracas.
