Romario: Brazil has lost the World Cup 'off the pitch'
In just a couple of months the World Cup will kick off in Brazil. It will be the culmination of years of preparation and billions of dollars in investment. But the country is suffering a bout of pre-match nerves: some of the stadiums are still not ready and a disgruntled public may protest against the sporting event.
At his home in Brasilia, Stephen Sackur spoke to Romario - Brazilian football legend turned politician - who has been a vociferous critic of the amount of money spent on the World Cup.
He tells HARDtalk that regardless of what happens on the pitch he fears Brazil has already lost off it.
