World Cup: Rio's historic Maracana stadium

Day four of the World Cup will see attention focus on Rio de Janiero's Maracana stadium - built for the only other World Cup held in the country, in 1950.

That competition took place in the post-World War Two years, when no European country was in any state to host the tournament.

The Maracana was considered a major engineering feat for the country, and for many years retained the title of the world's largest football arena.
