Rio Olympics 2016: Test events prompt concerns

Olympians arrived in Rio de Janeiro at the weekend as the first test events started.

There is concern about whether the city will be ready for the Games which start in two years time.

The area where the stadiums should stand are still construction sites and Olympic officials have expressed concerns about water pollution.

The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, has pledged free tickets to the city's residents to allay fears that the Games, which are causing so much disruption to the infrastructure of the capital, are beyond the means of the average resident.
