Colombia: Former mortal enemies now demining the country
Colombia is one of the most heavily mined countries in the world. After more than five decades of conflict, many rural areas are littered with explosive devices.
As part of the peace process currently under way between Colombia's largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc) and the government, the two sides have agreed to carry out a joint demining project.
Rebels are working alongside Colombian soldiers to locate and destroy mines in a rural area of Antioquia province.
BBC Mundo's Natalio Cosoy spoke to Farc rebel Hector Perez about the project and his experience working alongside soldiers who he has hitherto viewed as mortal enemies.
