Nicolas Maduro gives 'defiant' speech to supporters

Venezuela's president has reacted angrily to a decision by the Organisation of American States to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the crisis in the country.

Nicolas Maduro told supporters that the head of the OAS could "shove" his demand for greater democracy.

The collapse of Venezuela's economy has led to shortage of basic goods, street demonstrations against the government, and a political standoff.
