Colombia to salvage Spanish galleon San José wreckage

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has announced a deal to salvage the wreckage of the Spanish galleon San José - with an anonymous investor.

The ship sank in 1708 near the historical Caribbean port of Cartagena, and its wreckage was located in 2015.

But it has lain at the bottom of the sea amid disputes over its ownership.
