Thousands of Venezuelans cross border to Colombia

Ahead of a two-day strike called by opposition parties, thousands of Venezuelans have been crossing the border with Colombia.

The strike is to protest against plans by President Nicolás Maduro to go ahead with elections for a controversial constituent assembly on Sunday.

The constituent assembly will have the power to change the constitution and bypass the opposition-controlled legislature.
