Britain and France criticise Nato efforts in Libya

Britain and France say Nato must do more to destroy heavy weaponry used by Muammar Gaddafi's forces in Libya.

Britain's foreign secretary William Hague urged Nato allies to intensify military operations against the Libyan regime, while France's foreign minister Alain Juppe warned that Libyan civilians continued to be at risk.

The diplomatic wrangling is occurring against a background of ongoing fighting, as Jon Leyne reports.
