Ceasefire 'must meet UN conditions'
UK Foreign Secretary William Hague has said any proposed ceasefire in Libya must meet the conditions set out by the United Nations.
Mr Hague warned that any deal would be seen as a "betrayal" if it fell short of the requirements set out by the organisation's Security Council.
He was speaking as Libyan rebels in Benghazi met with members of an African Union delegation, who were offering a peace plan.
This has now been rejected by the rebels, as it does not include the removal of the country's leader, Colonel Gaddafi.
