Syria: Clashes in north-west town 'kill 120'
Syrian state television is reporting that one-hundred-and-twenty members of the security forces have been killed in a series of battles with gunmen in the north-western town of Jisr al-Shughour.
The town has been the scene of anti-government protests in recent days, and Syrian human rights organisations say the protesters had been attacked by government soldiers.
The BBC's Middle East editor, Jeremy Bowen, reports.
