Syria: Tanks and troops 'move into Jisr al-Shughour'

Syria's state media has reported that the army had begun to move into the beleaguered northern town of Jisr al-Shughour, where 120 Syrian troops were reportedly killed at the start of this week.

The town of 40,000 is said to be largely deserted as many residents fled in advance of the army operation.

The BBC's Jim Muir said it was unclear how much resistance the army might meet as it moves into the town.
