Syria unrest: Turkish border a refuge for thousands

Hundreds of Syrians are massing on the country's border with Turkey, ready to cross over if the army moves further into the area after seizing the town of Jisr al-Shughour.

Syrian military sources have told the BBC the army is now planning to move to the nearby town of Maarat al-Numan.

The UN says more than 5,000 people are staying in makeshift refugee camps on the Turkish side of the border, with another 5,000 reported to have entered Turkey unofficially.
