Young Syrians hold anti-violence demo

Young people in Syria have staged a peaceful and authorised demonstration calling for an end to violence in the country.

However, the violence is far from over.

Other demonstrations have continued without the permission of the authorities, with protesters risking arrest and coming under fire from the security forces.
