Libya: Colonel Gaddafi tells supporters to 'rise up' in speech

Colonel Gaddafi has given a defiant radio address where he called on supporters to "rise up" against rebel forces.

He warned supporters that anti-Gaddafi fighters would "kill and torture" residents if they didn't defend themselves.

The leader has confirmed that he left his compound in Tripoli, which fell on Tuesday to the rebels.

His whereabouts are currently unknown.
