Syria protests: Eid demonstrators targeted by troops

Several people are reported to have been killed in southern Syria as amateur video showed anti-government protests out following morning prayers to mark the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Activists say troops shot dead six people in the province of Deraa and one in the city of Homs. The Reuters News agency is also reporting at least four demonstrators have been shot dead in the towns of al-Hara and Inkhil.
