UN: Syrian children 'used as human shields'

The United Nations says a number of children in Syria have accused government troops of using them as human shields forcing them to ride on tanks to discourage attacks by opposition fighters.

The UN's Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Radhika Coomaraswamy, said investigators she had sent to Syria came back with horrific reports of what was happening there.
