UNSMIS verifies Syria fighting
The United Nations peace envoy Kofi Annan says Syrian forces have used heavy weaponry against the villagers of Tremseh - where it's reported that more than 200 people have been killed.
Helicopters, artillery and tanks were involved in the attack, in Hama province yesterday. Syrian state media has blamed 'terrorists' for the deaths.
Major General Robert Mood, head of the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria (UNSMIS), says he wants to send observers to the village.
