Egypt's Morsi seems to have 'lost control' over security forces

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi seems to have "lost control over the security forces", the BBC's Khaled Ezzelarab has said.

He was speaking after anti-government protesters in Egypt stormed the national headquarters of the president's Muslim Brotherhood in the capital, Cairo.

People ransacked the building in the Moqattam area and set parts on fire. Officials say eight people were killed in clashes since Sunday, while eight others had died elsewhere.

Khaled Ezzelarab explained that five Egyptian cabinet ministers were said to have met to discuss whether to resign their positions in protest against "the government's dealing with the crisis".
