Egypt crisis: Pro- and anti-Morsi rallies held in Cairo

Thousands of supporters of Egypt's deposed President Mohammed Morsi have held a rally in eastern Cairo, calling for his reinstatement.

The US has called on Egypt's army to free Mr Morsi. He was detained after being removed from office by the military more than a week ago.

The Muslim Brotherhood insists it will not stop its demonstrations until he is reinstated.
