'Terrorist acts are rejected by Yemeni people'

Security has been stepped up in Yemen following the departure of the US and the UK government diplomatic staff amid concerns over security threats.

Hundreds of armoured vehicles have been deployed in the capital, Sanaa.

Brigadier General Mohammed al-Qaedi, director-general of Public Relations at Yemen's interior ministry, told the BBC: "Terrorist acts are rejected by the Yemeni people and the country's institutions."
