Egypt unrest: Streets empty under Cairo curfew
The streets of the Egyptian capital Cairo were almost deserted as a curfew came into place on Monday night, according to the BBC's James Reynolds.
Driving through the city, James Reynolds said most people had stayed at home as "their capital and their country do not feel safe".
Hundreds of people died in violence in Egypt last week and 36 protesters died in a prison van in the capital Cairo on Sunday.
Elsewhere, at least 24 Egyptian policemen were killed in an attack by suspected militants in the Sinai peninsula.
