Syria crisis: Russia's Lavrov welcomes 'no force' agreement with US
Russia's foreign secretary has welcomed an agreement with his US counterpart over the removal of Syria's chemical weapons.
Sergei Lavrov and John Kerry held talks over three days in Geneva and produced a six-point plan.
It includes a requirement for the Syrian regime to hand over a full list of its chemical stockpile within a week.
Mr Lavrov told a press briefing that the plan was "only the beginning of the road" but added that any military action would be "catastrophic for this region and for international relations".
